When I started running, I used it to deal with depression, anxiety and trauma. I especially made sure to run in the mornings. It was certainly a way to get outside, run and meditate. Running became a meditation excercise. As a childe I loved the sounds of nature and all the beautiful surroundings. I'm not sure when I became so competive and my focus became placing and getting medals for doing so. It was obvious that I loved winning...it was something I had control of. Growing up in a very abusive environment, I lost all of my control at the age of seven. I'm pictured here, the race I missed getting Division 1st by four seconds. Lucky Lesson well learned which helped me in the future races…always give your all especially near the finish!
