Lori

Lori

Five years after graduating from Glassboro State College, I was still working in the International Division of a glass manufacturer located in South Jersey.

It was then that a young lady named Lori, was hired as an assistant. We became friends and she would always come to me for guidance, not only in business, but also with her personal matters.

She was an excellent classical pianist. She enjoyed visiting me and my husband who was an excellent pianist as well. They would take turns playing until the late hours of the night.

Shortly after I met Lori she was engaged to be married, and I was expecting my first child. I was six months when she got married, I was one of her bridesmaids.

When my first born arrived she was one of the first to visit me and my newborn bearing a gift suitable for a beautiful baby girl.

Two and half years later, when my son was born, the gift was an Eagles set…I honestly believe that this was the start of the never-ending allegiance to the team!

When my then husband was arrested, she and her then husband made a generous contribution so he could make bail while awaiting trial.

When I resigned and moved to Connecticut, we always stayed in contact. Then came the big move 3000 miles to California.

Despite the distance, we’ve managed to still in touch. And when I visit, the garden state, we do our best and find a way to get together.

Lori, we’ve been friends for years, you are truly like a star, I don’t always see you, but I know you are there.
